Manam Movie Review

Akkineni Nageswara Rao’s last film Manam Movie Review on Zustcinema. ANR, Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya played the lead roles in Manam movie released worldwide on May 23rd.

Story

Manam kickstarts with a flashback of Radha Mohan (Naga Chaitanya) and Krishnaveni (Samantha) who are vexed with their married life wanted to divorce but they both die in an accident. Their son Nageshwar aka Bittu (Nagarjuna) turns into a business tycoon in the present, yet is saddened for missing his parents.

In a sudden surprise Nageshwar finds Nag (Naga Chaitanya) and Priya (Samantha) who looks like his parents Radha Mohan and Krishnaveni. In the process of uniting Nag and Priya, Nageshwar meets doctor Anjali (Shriya), and Chaitanya (ANR). Chaitanya comes to know that Nageshwar and Anjali resembles his parents Seetharamudu and Rama Lakshmi. Here connects all the 5 characters to each other and rest of the story is how Nag - Priya are united by Bittu...

Performances

Watching Manam is a feast to eyes watching three generations of Akkineni actors on the silver screen.

Akkineni Nageswara Rao has an impressive presence in the second half and his character has best impact on the flow of story. ANRLivesOn by the way he played his role and simply to say he is just incredible.

Nagarjuna is the major asset of the film. He played the role of a billionaire and he pulls off the role with an ease. He is impressive with his expressions in all types of scenes and good in romance.

Naga Chaitanya performed well in the two roles. He has improved a lot and done justice to his roles.

Samantha is gorgeous in her both roles and impressed with her performance with good variations. Her on-screen chemistry with Nagarjuna is a show stealer.

Shriya Saran too played two roles where she gave her 100% performance. Her chemistry with Nagarjuna is romantic which came out well.

Cameo by Akhil Akkineni, Amala, Amitabh Bachchan, Lavya Tripathi are good and others characters are entertaining.

Technical Analysis

Songs by Anup Rubens are topping the charts and his re-recording is simply superb as it elevated the emotional scenes a lot.

Cinematography by PS Vinod is commendable as the songs are visual treat to watch on big screen. The camera work is colorful and rich with backgrounds. The 1930's time period is show in a wonderful way.

Dialogues by Harshavardhan are impressive with neat and romantic way of rhyming. Rajeevan Art work is good. Vikram Kumar approach to script and his way of narration is excellent. Production Values are high standard.

Analysis

Manam story is set in the time periods of 1930’s to 2013 where amazing family attachments are shown through wonderful execution. The story deals with the past and present threads of a family set to reunite in the re-births too. Vikram Kumar has shaped Manam as a painting where his perfection and passion towards Cinema are observed.

Coming to the story, the film has all ingredients like romance, comedy, love, family, heart warming emotional scenes and sentiments. The three generations stars created magic on the silver screen with their outstanding performance. Especially to say Nagarjuna is seen in each and every frame and his aim to reunite his parents in re-births too is really emotional. The scenes between Naga Chaitanya-Samantha (in Present) , Nagarjuna – Shriya ( in Past) and Nagarjuna-Samantha's hilarious track (in Present) makes the audience experience a fresh feel. Akkineni Nageswara Rao scenes are brilliantly executed which are much needed in the second half.

Vikram Kumar is clear with his script and the way he handled the narration in the novel way and the cast for the roles are very good. The way the emotional love saga tied with the characters in the re-births are effective. The team which had worked for the film are to get a big applause from all the fans of Akkineni family and common audience too...
