Story

Viswaroopam takes off with Kamal Haasan as Vishwanath who is a Bharatanatyam teacher and his beloved wife Pooja Kumar as Dr.Nirupama who is an nuclear oncologist in USA.The story comes to be interesting when Nirupama comes to know that Viswanath is a Muslim from the detectives who were appointed by her and he hooked up with her for a reason.

Nirupama also comes to know that her boss Deepak has links with terror group headed by Omar (Rahul Bose). With in no time both Vishwanath and Nirupama gets in to a dangerous plot where they should find out the bomb which was placed in New York. What Nirupama finds about Vishwanath's past? Whether the bomb was found makes the rest of the film interesting

Performances

Kamal Hassan is just known for his realism and this time it is brilliant from performance wise.He excelled and surprised as a classical dancer and a Muslim to that's all to say about Universal Star.

Rahul Bose as Omar is effective and does outstanding performance.

Pooja Kumar is good and beautifull too and coming to her performance she is impressive.Telugu dubbing was apt for her.

Sekhar Kapoor is perfect,Andrea Jeremiah does her best and Nassar is ok.

Technical Analysis

Music by Shankar Essan Loy is good and background score is apt to the scenes.Editing of the film could be much better. The first half lacks pace with slow narration.Sanu Varghese's Cinematography is outstanding and to be applauded for picturising Afghanistan in a majestic way.Action scenes are extraordinary and Kamal Haasan is superb in making such a film with all technical aspects.

Analysis:

The first half of Viswaroopam takes a slow narration with the characters potrayal but interesting screenplay sticks you to the screen with wonderfull locations and sotting music.Scenes between Kamal Hassan as a dancer who was avoided by her wife Pooja Kumar thinking that he does not have masculine qualities are neatly picutrised. The story picks the pace in the interval bang where the army attack sequences are shot briliantly along with revealing flashback of Kamal Hassan.Misplacement of songs is only minus in the film.

The Second half has enough pace and story gets much interesting with the well-captured action sequences in this spy thriller.Flashback episodes are shot well along with the scenes of Kamal’s real identity.

One thing to say that, Viswaroopam is a sensible film which showcases the real facts and anti-terrorism aspects. If you watched the movie one can know that it doesn't hurt any religious sentiments not community.

My Take :-

A Big Applause to Kamal Hassan for making such film with all rich technical values.

ZC Take :-

It's Kamal Hassan's Movie.. Go & Watch
