Earlier, there has been buzz that Katrina Kaif will play the female lead opposite Rajinikanth in Kochadaiyaan film, which is to be directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth under the supervision of director KS Ravi Kumar.However, Soundarya has revealed that Deepika Padukone will play the leading lady in the film and it’s not Katrina. Deepika was earlier supposed to play the lead actress in Rana, but the project was kept on hold due to Rajini’s ill health and now Deepika has got another chance to pair up with Super Star.
Shobana, Sarath Kumar, Nassar, Sneha and Aadhi are playing other important roles in the movie.
