Prince Mahesh Babu depressed with his recent movie Khaleja dud at box office.Tollywood prince decided to come out with more than 2 films in ayear from now.

Mahesh babu recently had a story discussion with India's maveric director Mani Ratnam.Mahesh and Mani Ratnam had story discussion on sunday at chennai.Prince liked the script narrated by Mani Ratnam and immediately gave a nod of his approval. Mahesh Babu-Mani Ratnam COmbo movie to be a big budget movie as it is a historical based film. Tamil actor Vikram will also be part a of the movie.

As per the sources the story is based on Ponnian Selvam a tamil historical novel.The novels reveals of Chola Empire during the 10th century.Ponnian Selvam has five parts from which Mani Ratnam sorted eight scenes to make this film.

Mahesh babu Tweeted of his film with mani Ratnam as "My dream is coming true finally. I will be working in a Maniratnam film. One of the happiest days of my life."
